 Quezon City District 1 (QCD1) Representative Arjo Atayde along with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte, lent much-needed aid to the victims of a recent fire in 224 Don Manuel, Barangay Balingasa.  The fire was caused by faulty electrical wiring and it quicky spread, incinerating the homes of almost 700 families last Sept. 8. True to his Aksyon Agad moniker, Atayde rushed to the site to assess the damage and provide help to the unfortunate residents there. For the very first time in the district, assistance was expeditiously distributed the following day on Sept. 9 through the help of DSWD.  “It only took one phone call for DSWD Secretary Erwin Tulfo to respond,” says Atayde. “President Bongbong Marcos have chosen an action man to head DSWD and we at the district could not thank him enough for his quick response.” DSWD donated 5,000 pesos in cash assistance as with relief boxes for each family while Atayde is current...

 TV host-actress Maine Mendoza couldn’t be more grateful that her future mother-in-law, veteran star Sylvia Sanchez, has warmly welcomed her into their family. Recall that Sylvia’s son, actor-turn-politician Arjo Atayde, recently asked for Maine’s hand in marriage. After the proposal, Sylvia thanked Maine for loving her son. “Love you Nak,” Sylvia told Maine. “I promise that I will take care and love you as my own daughter.” Maine, on her part, also thanked her for the sweet message. “Thank you so much po, tita,” she replied.  The upcoming international series, "Cattleya Killer" has finally wrapped up production. The news was revealed by Zsa Zsa Padilla, who is one of the actors of the series, who shared a group photo with the cast and crew on set in Pampanga. "It's a wrap," she wrote. Among those who were in the photo include lead stars Arjo Atayde and Jake Cuenca. The upcoming series is a small screen adaptation of the 1996 movie, "Sa Aking Mga Kamay" ("In My Own Hands"), starring Aga Muhlach and Christopher de Leon, which revolves around a serial killer who preys on unfaithful wives by killing them and leaving a cattleya flower on their bodies. Aside from Arjo, Jake, and Zsa Zsa, the upcoming series also stars Christopher de Leon, Jane Oineza, Ricky Davao, Nonie Buencamino, and Ria Atayde.  MANILA, Philippines — Celebrity couple  Arjo Atayde and Maine Mendoza shared more information about their engagement a month after the proposal.  In Maine's official Instagram account, Arjo said that he planned to propose to Maine earlier but it was postponed because of family matters.  Arjo additionally uncovered that the day he wanted to propose was on the day Maine tweeted, "Arjo cutie." "Ah today?" Maine replied. "Yeah, July 28, 2013," Arjo replied. "See, mas alam mo pa," Maine said. Arjo said that July 28 is a significant day for their relationship.  "This is the day I met her also, July 28, 2018. And now I proposed July 28, 2022." Maine said Arjo treated her as a princess.  "The way he loves and cares for me parang sobra and sometimes I really ask the Lord what have I done to deserve this kind of love," she said. "I've always prayed to find a man whose gonna love me for who I am, then you came."
